Gone Hunting – One more try with stick and string
Well, I’m outta here for the weekend. Gonna head back to the Hedgepeth Ranch (Golden Ram) in Sonoma County for another go at the hogs and maybe a turkey with my bow. The weather is kinda messy right now, but it should blow out tonight, and tomorrow could be a really happening day.
Well, wanna make God laugh? Tell him your plans, right? We’ll have to see.
Until Monday…

Good luck, wish I could tag along!
Do you really mean stick and string? Or stick and magnesium riser and cams?

Thanks, Joshua.
There’s wheels with my stick and string. The recurve will stay in semi-retirement until I have the time and place to practice with it enough to maintain consistent accuracy. For me, that means almost daily shooting… something I simply don’t have time for right now.
The compound doesn’t require as much muscle memory. A few occasional arrows keeps me pretty sharp.

I know you’d switched, and for good reasons. I was just curious when I saw the title.

Ah, no worries. I was pretty sure I’d explained my switch in detail a few times.
