A little video from the past weekend
Some of you may have read my report on the past weekend at the Golden Ram’s Hedgepeth Ranch, and you’ll recall that I promised some video. Well, here it is… for what it’s worth. No great kill shots or stalks, but I kinda like the shots of the turkey poults and the pig orphans.
Make up your own mind, I suppose…

Blue Grass version of Zeppelin’s Ramble On! Ye Haw!
I enjoyed the video very much Phillip, no need for a kill shot here, just cruzin’ the hills and watchin’ the wildlife.
It don’t get any better than that!

Nice video. How near were you able to stalk the orphans? Question is related to the thought of how long before they’ll be coyote dinner.
May I also suggest a write-up on PU2NIA’s transformation? Seeing it in your video and being impressed by how it looks now and how it was then as a butt of Rancho Loco’s joke would make for an interesting article.

Great video!
As for PU2NIA, I have an ’86 Samurai (Tomoe) that’s been laying fallow for a number of years. I’d like to know if you know the best places/deals to get ‘er running again.

Thanks, Michael. I’m holding onto the HogBlog theme for a special video… still in the works. Besides, Lester Flatt and Doc Watson (Fire on the Mountain) and the Nashville SuperPickers (Ramble On) seemed to fit the mood of this one… not a lot of high-energy action here.
Beast,at some points I was within a few feet of the piglets. There was also a juvenile golden eagle hunting near-by. I have no doubt the majority of them will be predator food before they get much bigger.
And to the comments on PU2NIA, thanks! She’s still a work in progress, but the major stuff is all done. I actually started a piece on her “makeover”, so maybe I’ll dust it off and rewrite it tonight. There’ll be more info for you there, Josh… and if I don’t rewrite it, I’ll shoot you an email.
