Back in the corporate grind –

Back to the grindstoneWell, after over six months on “hiatus” (read, seriously underemployed), I’ve been back in the corporate world for about two weeks.

    And it sucks.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m working with a great team at a pretty good company, but man… all that kicking back, hunting whenever I got the call, and writing a lot… a guy could get used to that.  As it is, I’m working on getting back into the swing of spending the day in the office, then rolling home dead tired.  It doesn’t leave a lot of energy for blogging right now, or for much of anything.  I’ve barely even felt like making dinner most nights.

Anyway, not meaning to whine too loudly, but I do want to let you all know that the Hog Blog slow-down is only temporary.  As soon as I get back into the flow of things with a full-time job, I’ll work blogging back into the schedule.

Bear with me, if you will.

Now, time to get the coffee, the shower, and on the road with the rest of the lemmings.

      Yeah it sucks don’t it…

I’ve gotten in the habit of drinking coffee now. without it I don’t know how foul a mood I would be in!

Phillip, I’d love to feel sorry for you, but I just don’t:) Welcome back to what all of us have to do every day. I think I need a hiatus:):) Maybe I can convince my wife to support me.

Coffee seems a bit like lifesblood these days, Albert. I suppose I could join a program and get off the beans, but I just don’t see the point.

And Arthur… good luck with that. Let me know how it works out for ya. Trust me, the hiatus wasn’t intentional, and once the “squirrel money” ran out, it got downright scary. I’m fortunate that I’ve had a good career thus far, and was able to take care of some key stuff early on. I don’t know how a lot of unemployed folks out there make it these days!

I hear ya – honest work has been eating into my blogging too. Hope to rectify that tonight…

My dear ol’ Pepa used to tell me: Son, hard work builds character! Unfortunately, I had not a clue as to what that word meant at the age of 8 yrs. :-)

Glad to see you back in the work force Phillip, you already have enough character, it’s just them ducats yer after now though!

I’ve had the same troubles this year, too, Phillip.

      Good luck, and God bless.

Yupp, Michael… but I wonder. Is being a character the same as having character?

See you guys in a few hours tonight!
