Hog Blog at the Movies – Pig Hunt (Again?!?)
Yeah, I know… I’ve written an awful lot so far about a movie I’ve never seen. That’s about to change, though.
Pig Hunt, the movie is about to play in San Francisco at the Another Hole in the Head film festival. (Turn your speakers on before you click this link, if you love Les Claypool’s music like I do. Song is called The Boonville Stomp.) The festival runs for several days, but Pig Hunt will play on June 13 and 15. Unless hell freezes over or something that actually pays comes along, I’ll be there for the June 15 showing, along with Holly, the NorCal Cazadora and any other friends who can make it on a Monday night.
Personally, I can hardly stand the wait. This movie has been written up everywhere from Fangoria to the SF Chronicle to The New York Times to Variety! I’ve watched the trailers a dozen times or more. This just looks like FUN!
Blood, gore, sex, nekkid wimmin, pot fields, and hog hunting… is there any part of my inherent, deviant nature that this movie doesn’t titillate?
Damn. I can already tell that actually seeing this flick will be somewhat anti-climatic. But I’ll take it anyway!
If you have any interest, whatsoever, in seeing this, you can check it out at the Roxie in SF on Saturday, June 13 at 7:15 pm (19:15) or on Monday, June 15 at 9:30 pm (21:30). Learn more about the Another Hole in the Head film fest on their website!

Egads!
Is that a “Tongue” lapping around that animals Tushes? Looks scary already!

Kinda tough to tell in the pic, but it’s pretty gruesome in the trailer. Can’t wait to finally see this thing.
By the way, what are you doing on Monday night, June 15? Wanna join us for the show in SF?

I hope all of you have a great time at the movie. It looks…um…..interesting.

Thanks for this post. I’ve been wanting to see this movie, and was disappointed I missed it in April. I’ll be there tonight. FYI they seem to sell a lot of seats at this film festival, so get to the theatre early to get a seat. I was late to one show a couple of years ago and couldn’t get in, even though I had a ticket. 16th street BART is close to the theatre, if you don’t want to cruise too long to find parking, although I don’t know how late BART runs.
